What is a good diet plan for my husband & I to do together?

Q. I would like to find a diet plan (meals & exercise) that my husband & I can do together, but is easy at the same time. He will only walk or ride bikes with me. I have the Walk A Way the Pounds DVDs and he will not do them. He also expects to have a full meal on the table every night, but agress that he should not eat that much and needs to loose some weight. I am a diabetic and could really use some support in losing at least 10 lbs. We are both in our late 20's to early 30's and have a daughter who is active. She could do something with us, but I need ideas.

A. Recent studies have shown that the best diet plan for weight loss, diabetes, cancer and hypertension is a plant based diet.

Using a completely vegetarian diet without chicken, fish, eggs, milk, cheese or anything else that comes from an animal, I have seen many people stop using insulin and get rid of their other medications. The patients that I work with usually eat only 2 meals each day; they skip supper because they don't need the energy from that meal while they are sleeping.

Any diet will not give you the results that you want without exercise.

A. Look,It may surprise you to find that 36% of women are cheaters, when it comes to their diet! Research of 2,000 dieting women showed these results and while they are not that shocking, it does prove to be a good reminder that some weight loss habits are not so good. If any of this sounds like what you are dealing with, here are some tips from the women surveyed.
In 40% of the cases, the dieter was tempted to eat something forbidden by their partners. If your spouse or close friend is sitting there enjoying a box of candy the chances are better than even that you will partake as well. The best solution is to have your friend or loved one on board and barring that you can try brushing your teeth or chewing gum to avoid the tempting treats.
Restaurants were the key downfall of 25% of those surveyed. All your intentions generally take a vacation when you are eating out, who wants a mere salad? When you are dieting, you may want to keep the eating out to a bare minimum instead of a weekly occurrence. This will help your waist and your wallet at the same time. This also allows you to enjoy the experience and have whatever you want off the menu.
Every woman who participated in this study had tried to lose weight about eight times. That is not a large number considering most people have tried many diet plans. Nevertheless, you do have to ask whether the anxiety about cheating on your diet played a part in this.
Eating healthy is not a temporary occurrence. You can find many wonderful guidelines pertaining to eating healthy, but no rules. The main thing to dieting is that you must burn more calories than you consume whether this is for a day, week, month or even a year.
It does not mean you have failed your diet should you slip up and over eat, cheat by eating a couple of things you should not or an extravagant meal eaten at a restaurant.
A good 50% of the women polled admitted that they had lied about food they had consumed. Lying about it only reinforced feelings of guilt and secrecy. Try finding a friend you can talk to instead of lying about your bad day. This should be someone who will cheer you on and not judge you or make you feel worse than you already do.
The above tips are just a few helpful ideas when you feel like cheating on your diet plan. You can use as many or few of them as you like but keep in mind that if you do slip up the battle is not over. Start your diet plan over again the next day. The only way you fail is if you give up the diet entirely.
To ensure that this is the diet that finally succeeds you of course need to avoid temptations. Be cautious however about labeling your behavior as diet cheating. This is the best way to wind up quitting!

How long will it take to lose 10 lbs on this diet plan?
Q. How long will it take to lose 10 lbs on this diet plan? I am only eating raw fruits and veggies, almonds, eggs and plain tuna. For dinner, I eat something a little more filling but still healthy. Like fish with steamed veggies or shrimp with rice. Drinking only water and sometimes tea with a tsp of sugar or orange juice. I am 26, 5'3" and weigh about 129. I really want to lose weight and i really hate exercise. Is this possible?

A. Hi,

You won't lose weight using a Low Calorie Dieting Plan. In fact, eating low calories is the worst thing that you can do to your body, since that will only slow down your body's fat burning engine and ruin all chances of losing weight. Low calorie diets may allow a few pounds of weight loss for the first few days, but then after that all weight loss comes to a halt, known as a dieting plateau. You can never get slim by starving yourself. A healthy weight loss program is one, which does not make you lose weight in such a manner that your health is spoiled. Starvation is not a worthy way to lose weight because most people will fail to abide to the program rules after a certain period. The moment you stop the plan, your weight will reverse back to where you start and sometime worst.

I graduated high school at 240 pounds and at 5 foot 3 that made me about as round as I was tall. I was one of those overweight teenagers who ate anything and everything without any regard to the effects it was having on my own body. Therefore, I began the diet pills, which did not work; I ate the special diet foods and even began drinking diet beverages. None of this stuff worked for me, just as it does not work for millions of overweight people. Eating less did not work and I was not one to work out or even get up and do anything remotely related to exercise. I knew I would look silly and it would hurt. I never thought or really cared about the health effects this would have on me, back then.

A year ago after a successful weight loss plan, now at 120 pounds, it is a major difference. I've lost 30 pounds in the first month. The most significant change in my life is the amount of energy I now have and the way my clothes fit loosely. Everyone close to me and people I havenât seen in a while are amazed and tell me that I look really good. This is a life changing experience for me although at first I was skeptical about the weight loss plan.

Our own metabolism system play a vital part in controlling the amount of body fat burned in the process of providing energy to the body. Knowledge about our own metabolism function is the mother to all weight loss programs. With the knowledge you not only reduce your weight but able to maintain an ideal weight and living a healthy life. The weight loss program has proven to be effective in the short and long-term, without need to endure starvation and without any daily athletic workout. (But taking a light exercise every few days is highly recommended). Best of all you can eat what you most enjoyed without gaining any weight The weight loss program is affordable by all and do not need to pay a monthly fees to use it. In contrast to diet pills regime where you need to buy it on a regular basis and you will gain more weight when you stop taking it.

The success has inspired me to help others and i am sure you won't be disappointed. The link is at the source below and discover how you can become noticeably thinner in 11 days by eating in a way you'll actually enjoy.
